Maintenance of Beomaster 5500, 6500, 7000

Maintenance is usually necessary for these units since they are over 20 years old. This package includes the following:

1) Change of clock battery. This battery is soldered on the processor board and requires some work for changing. The battery also keeps the radio calibration and therefore recalibrate the FM radio. Other setting as radio stations and timer events will have to be reprogrammed by the user.

2) Resoldering of some components which usually gives problems.

3) Adjust amplifier idle current according to service manual. If this is to low then you will hear clipping noice. If it is to high then amplifier will be to hot and may develop different faults.

4) Change to 220V from 240V since the EU standard has changed since it was manufatured. This will give set the internal voltage to the power supply to the correct level which may enhance the life.

Only for Beomaster 7000: the firmware could optionally be upgraded so that it works with Beosystem 3 and others in two-way with Beolink 5000 and Beolink 7000.

The prerequsite for this package is a working unit and that we can reuse the packing material when sending the unit back. If other faults are found then this package will change to our replacement service. Due to the heavy units and 240V we only offer this within the EU and GB.

When buying this service product you will get a mail with packing instructions to send it to us. We will make a visual inspection that no parts are missing and that it has not been affected by lightning.
